"Just Walk"
I forgot who told me this story (as I like to write and collect those good stories that i have heard) ever since 1991 (since my first job in Retailing environment)
So the story goes like this......
A passer by once asked a farmer who was farming diligently on how long for him to reach the Village market.
The farmer replied ... "you just walk" ...
so the passerby walked with hesistant...., but in one minute time the passerby asked again .." how long the time to reach the market?"....the Farmer replied ..."Just Walk'
After awhile, the Farmer shouted from far to the Passerby .. "30 MINUTES!!" The farmer said I really don't know how fast you walk thus I have to see you walk first then I can tell. So in your case is 30 minutes, as for my self it will take me 3 minutes" ........
Well in life we always hesitate with our decisions although we 'walk' the decisions but we keep on look back and asking ... 'am i doing the right thing? and so on and so forth.....so this will delay our journey.
Well ... Once we have make a good and informed analysis of the circumstances, then the next thing is "JUST WALK" or in nike terms ... Just Do it!!

what is fear?
FEAR could be a synoym to False Expectations Appearing Real
It was an indecisive week (last 7 days) as I was in midst of deciding to leave my 10 years employment to another one.
I could not decide as I was still have the fear of unknown and quite reluctant to leave the comfort zone ( its not easy to move from away from familiar to the unknown).
Again I learned and inspired by my daughter Eeanne this time.
Eeanne, she is 2 years plus old now, she is so energetic even though when there is no electricity in the house.
It was Wednesday nite, as usual we reached home after 9 pm, but this time the entire housing area was in darkness (temporary no power supply). So we have to live in darkness for 2 hours. We have to rely on candles and torch light. But it was not enough candles and torchlight to light up the whole house. But Eeanne was so excited, to her the temporary no power supply has presented her a new experience.
She did not even show any fear of darkness, on contrary she make full use of the torchlight to explore every corner of the house.
Suddenly I 'realised' something and I have the answer to my question of to resign from my current employment and move to a new organisation.
And the answer was obvious, it is because of my preconceived ideas or 'conditions' that i have accrued... so to speak that hindered me from making a concious decision.
Well, thank to my daughter of naiveness and sense of adventure that has helped me to reconciled my inner dilemma/conflict.

Birthday
Today I attended my Grand Aunty (姑 婆) 85th Birrthday Dinner. I took the opportunity to ask her a lot about my great grandfather history. To my surprise my grand Aunt has a very good memories (I mean at her age).
I learned a lot about great grandfather humble experiences and how difficult his early life when he reached Malaya (name of Malaysia back then before independent).

惠 子 渡 河 (Huizi Crosses a River)
I was reading a chinese fables to my daughter yesterday and i came a cross this story about the Huizi Crossing the river.
Huizi was an intelligent statesman from state of Song and he was about to set out on a journey to the another state named Liang.
He was so rush and hurry during his journey until he fell into a river while crossing it. Luckily he was saved by a boatman nearby.
The Boatman asked Huizi, "why are you in such a hurry?"
Huizi replied, " The state of Liang has lost its prime minister. i'm going there to be the prime minister."
The Boatman laughed at Huizi for he could not even cross the river in proper, how can he be a prime minister.
Huizi had a very good reply," Of course Mr.Boatman, I'm of no match for you in handling a boat, but when it comes to ruling the state, you're just an ignorant blind tiger compared with me"
Well what the moral of the story ? : Everyone has his own worth and we must listen to the other party opinions and concerns.
